Wow…I haven’t personally seen that until you posted it. It is a convincing commerical, which greatly saddens me. Sure, paper plates are easier especially for those of us who hate to was dishes. I am just thinking how much money I would spend if I served every dinner on paper plates… and then the amount of trash we would create…Three of us, at least 2 meals a day – 6 plates, 7 days a week – 42 plates, 52 weeks – 2184 plates a year! Wow….a lot of money and a whole lot of trash.
I did have a neat experience yesterday. I was discussing with my first graders ways to save the earth and we began talking about how we can make less trash. It was amazing all that they knew and all that they’re parents are doing. I believe if we continue to educate this group, that they may never use a plastic bag when shopping, will think that cloth napkins are the only kind of napkins, etc.

I hate this commercial, and want to throw things at the tv every time it comes on.
That’s a fabulous idea!Let’s save 5 minutes spent loading the dishwasher to load. Then, we’ll let our kids deal with the landfill mess of millions of families using paper plates for all of their meals. Good Grief!!!
